Summer-long speculation about the future of Real Madrid's Wesley Sneijder looks set to continue with reports in Marca suggesting that Manchester United and Bayern Munich are preparing bids for the Dutch midfielder.
The players agent Soren Lerby has stated that Sneijder wants to remain at the Bernabeu despite apparently being told that he is now surplus to requirements at Los Merengues.
Recent reports suggest that Madrid agreed a €15 million transfer with Inter for the former Ajax star.
"Sneijder is a player of Real Madrid and he wants to stay here," Lerby told AS.
Now Marca reports that United and Bayern are monitoring the situation and are prepared to match Inter's bid.
Relations between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are said to be somewhat tense following Los Blancos pursuit of Frank Ribery earlier this summer and as a result Old Trafford would be a more likely destination for Sneijder.
