Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has offered a glowing tribute to the late Sir Bobby Robson.

Guardiola was part of the Barcelona squad that Robson coached to three trophies in 1996-97, and he was full of praise, telling El Mundo Deportivo, "He was marvellous.

"It was a privilege to spend a year with him. He was a very experienced coach, with great ideas.

"He completed a fantastic year in charge of the club."

Barcelona won the Copa Del Rey, Spanish Supercup and Cup Winners' Cup under Robson.
