Barcelona's deal to loan Keirrison to Benfica had a few hidden clauses...
The European champions signed the Brazilian forward for €14million, plus €2million more with incentives, from Palmeiras with the plan to send him to another club for one year.
While several clubs made their interest known, Barca opted to allow Benfica to take Keirrison for the new campaign with an option for him to stay for a second term, El Mundo Deportivo have revealed.
Also included in the deal though is a clause that sees Pep Guardiola and the board given first option to sign highly-rated duo Di Maria and Luiz from Benfica.
Inter have been linked with Argentinian left-winger Di Maria, but Barcelona now appear to have the upper hand should his current club decide to do business.
Central defender Luiz is also highly-rated and Barca have ensured that should he be the subject of bids from any other clubs they will be given the chance to match that.
