Eidur Gudjohnsen's future could be sorted out next week after his father confirmed that he would hold negotiations which should determine what happens next.
The Icelandic international was keen to speak to Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola before listening to any offers, but has admitted that English clubs are honing in on him.
Linking up with former Chelsea team-mate Gianfranco Zola at West Ham United is one option, while Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham could also make a move if he were to leave Camp Nou.
Arnor Gudjohnsen, Eidur's father and agent, has previously hinted that a move away from Barca appeared likely and has reiterated that a return to England would be preferable.
"There is interest from a number of clubs and I expect serious discussions with clubs next week," he was quoted as saying by The Times.
"Eidur would be open to a move back to England and it would seriously appeal to him."
