Nikola Zigic: I Am Staying With Valencia
Valencia have no more pending money worries and do not have to sell - which means Nikola Zigic can stay and play...
The lofty Serbian striker has been encouraged after talks with coach Unai Emery that he will be a part of the first-team after having to go back on loan to Racing Santander last term in order to play.
Fernando Morientes' departure from the club has left the way clear for a powerful forward to play alongside David Villa, and Zigic is hopeful he can be that player.
"I have rejected all the offers because my desire is to stay with Valencia the next season," he told Las Provincias.
"I am very happy to return to the team and I am prepared to demonstrate to the coach that I should be in the team. This is my challenge now.
"My agent had many proposals from Spain and Europe but my decision was always clear. To stay at Valencia.
"I have not personally spoken with the coach but Valencia know my intentions and I will not change my mind."
