Manucho believes that he has improved a lot after his spell with Manchester United and is relishing the prospect of showing what he can do at Real Valladolid.
The Angloan striker moved to Old Trafford in 2008, but had two stints out on loan with Panathinaikos and Hull City before choosing to move to Spain last week.
Despite only making one first-team appearance for United, Manucho believes that being at the club made him a better player and he is now ready to put all he has learned into practice.
"I am delighted to join Valladolid, it is not the big club like Manchester United but it is a very good club," Sky Sports quote him as saying.
"It is an honour to play in the most technical league in the world, people will say I did not do well at Manchester, but for me I learned a lot with very great players.
"It was not easy to get in the first-team of the best team in the world but what was easy was to learn with them.
"My ambition is to make a name for myself here, score plenty of goals because I can score goals in this league and I will have to score plenty like my hero Samuel Eto'o."
