Marseille Want Real Madrid Defender Gabriel Heinze - Report
The French club are believed to be weighing up a move for the Argentinian defender...
Olympique de Marseille coach, Didier Deschamps, is planning to add some much-needed quality to his defensive sector, which contains only Hilton and Souleymane Diawara as reliable players in the centre.
According to AS, Deschamps is looking for an experienced defender, and Gabriel Heinze appears to be high on the coach's shortlist.
Real Madrid have too many available options for this position, and it is believed they are willing to cash in on Heinze or his club colleague Christoph Metzelder.
However, the Spanish newspaper reports that Marseille are baulking at Heinze's €4m-a-year salary at Real and could be considering other options.
