Real Zaragoza & Lazio Close To Finalising Matuzalem And Carrizo Deals - Reports
The deal could be closed in the next few days...
Real Zaragoza and Lazio are reportedly close to finalising deals which will see Juan Pablo Carrizo move to Spain and Matuzalem stay in Rome.
It is reported that Carrizo will stay with Zaragoza on a season long loan and that they will have an option to buy him for €10 million.
Matuzalem on the other hand will stay with Lazio and the Italian club will pay Zaragoza €6 million for his services.
Marca reports that both deals have not yet been made official because Carrizo had a few issues to resolve with Lazio, but once they are finalised the deals will be announced.
Signing a goalkeeper has been one of Zaragoza's main priorities as both Toni Doblas and Lopez Vallejo have not renewed their deals with the club.
It seems as though Doblas has little to no chance of staying with Zaragoza as he rejected the proposal offered and carried out a counter-offer that was a long way from what was originally on the table.
Vallejo on the other hand could well stay and was the goalkeeper who played the majority of the games for the club last year.
He is still in talks with the club and it is thought that an extension could be finalised soon, although he will more than likely be number two to Carrizo.
