Cristiano Ronaldo

Good evening. I just want to say, I told my friends that I was going to be very natural. Well, I'm just so happy to be here.

For me, I have made my childhood dream a reality, which was nothing less than playing for Real Madrid.

I didn't expect a jam-packed stadium. This is truly impressive!

Thank you very much, and I'm going to ask you all to say with me - I'm going to count to three - to say Hala Madrid. Ready? One, two, three - HALA MADRID!

Florentino Perez

Good evening. Thank you everyone for being here, and welcome to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Today you represent the biggest symbol of Real Madrid: the passion of its people, its supporters, its fans, all over the world.

You are essential for Real Madrid to continue to be admired and respected worldwide.

Thank you as well to the thousands of Portuguese fans with us today. We are here to welcome to our home one of their people. It is an honour to have them here today, as well as to have one of the best players of all time.

We have, joining us here today, one of the symbols of Portuguese and European football history. We want to thank Eusebio for being here and sharing this moment with us tonight.

Many of you are very young, but you must realise that in this very scenario two of the very best footballers are here today, including our honourary president, Alfredo di Stefano.

You are the chosen ones who have the privilege of coming here tonight. And here's the one generating the pride and the dreams and driving the passion of Real Madrid worldwide. We welcome today - CRISTIANO RONALDO!

[Ronaldo emerges to ear-splitting applause.]
