Barcelona and Manchester City are lining up further talks to try and find a solution to the transfer of Samuel Eto'o from the Catalan outfit to the Premier League side, according to a report.

The Cameroonian striker is believed to have agreed to a €10 million-a-year contract at Eastlands, but has demanded compensation from Barca for forcing him to move.

While that obstacle is also under consideration, the matter of how much Manchester City will have to pay is still ensuring that the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement.

Barcelona have offered to lower their asking price of €30 million if City are willing to raise their initial bid to show willing - and talks can then continue, Sport state.

With only one season left on his current contact, Barcelona are trying to earn as much from Eto'o's transfer as possible, with the money then being used to buy David Villa from Valencia.

City have agreed to further negotiations after contact was made, and a move could be completed by the end of next week when Eto'o returns from the United States.
