Panathinaikos Interested In Valencia Defender Carlos Marchena - Agent
The club are keen to keep hold of the defender this summer...
Carlos Marchena's agent has revealed that there have not been any offers for the Valencia defender yet.
Marchena has been linked with a move away from the Mestalla this summer, with Panathinaikos reportedly interested in securing his services.
Nevertheless, Manuel Garcia Qulion told Europa Press that he has asked the Valencia board if there have been offers for his client and they told them him "no".
He did however reveal there has been interest from Greece, but at the moment it's nothing concrete.
"A Greek agent called me and told me that there was interest from Panathinaikos, but I do not have any more details to give out," he said.
Asked about the possibility of Marchena playing in Greece, Quilon said "I do not want to talk about things like that because it is hypothetical".
According to the agent, Valencia are "absolutely" counting on Marchena next year and if any price is to be set for him, the club "should determine how much he is worth".
