David Villa Proud Of Attracting The World's 'Four Best' Clubs
The amount of interest that David Villa has produced may have left him feeling like he is standing in a whirlwind but it also makes him proud...
David Villa has revealed that he proud that he has attracted interest from four of the world's biggest clubs, as rumours continue to grow about where he will play next season.
With Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid all enquiring about him, the Spain striker is pleased that his performances have drawn the level of interest that they have.
In the last few weeks Villa has explained that he will make a decision when he returns from the Confederations Cup, but reports that so many great clubs want him has spurred him on.
"I am proud that four of the world's best clubs have asked Valencia about acquiring my services," he is quoted as saying by Marca.
"I managed to overcome all that by completely removing all thoughts of it from my head," he admitted.
"On the pitch it all went well and I have enjoyed coming here, apart from the game against the United States.
"I am fine now, because all I am thinking about is the match with South Africa. It is an important game, even though we cannot finish first.
"Finishing third is not bad and we have to aim for that."
Looking ahead to playing in South Africa at the World Cup Finals in 2010, Villa thinks that the conditions will be perfect.
"I prefer playing when it is cold, than when it is hot," he added.
"I cannot complain because that has been good and I hope that climate is the same here next summer," concluded the striker.
