David Villa Reveals His Valencia Future Will Be Clarified After Sunday

‘El Guaje’ has assured that any questions about his club future will be answered once and for all by next week.

With Spain’s hope of Confederations Cup glory now dead, the attention of the Spanish media will turn swiftly to the transfer market, as a number of players currently in La Seleccion still have unresolved futures.

No one has attracted more press than Valencia hitman David Villa, and it is now expected that he will finally have a chance to have a serious talk with his representatives and his employers.

The striker, who has given reporters virtually nothing to work with while in South Africa, continued to evade questions about his future, but he did hint this time around that the saga could come to an end soon.

“I have not talked to anyone. We have decided to stay away from the topic until after the Confederations Cup,” AS quoted him saying.

“Whatever I have to talk about with Valencia, I will do so from Sunday onwards.”

Real Madrid have recently declared that they have dropped out of the running to sign ‘El Guaje’, after Los Che president Manuel Llorente decided to label the player as ‘intransferable’, but Barcelona could revive their interest if they can scrape together enough funds to tempt the Mestalla outfit.
