Getafe Asking Valencia For €15 Million To Sign Granero And Uche - Reports
The Madrid club are reluctant to leave either player leave, but could do so for the right price...
Getafe have reportedly told Valencia that if they want to sign Esteban Granero and Ikechukwu Uche this summer they will have to pay €15 million and loan them Michel.
The Madrid club are known to be reluctant to sell midfielder Granero and president Angel Torres stated the other day he looks certain to stay at Getafe.
However, AS reports that if the right offer comes in from Valencia then Getafe will sell, even though they will be losing two of their better players.
With regards to Granero, if Getafe do decide to sell him, Real Madrid will have a first refusal option on him, but it seems unlikely they would use it.
It is no secret that Valencia need to strengthen their midfield this summer whilst up front it is thought Uche would compliment David Villa very well.
The only problem with the operation for Valencia would be the price of €15 million and the fact that at the moment they need to shorten their squad list.
Unai Emery reportedly wants around 22 players for the start of next season and for financial reasons the sooner they sell the better.
Certainly it looks as though they could be about to scratch one player's name off the list as Raul Albiol is reported to be in negotiations with Real Madrid.
