The European champions dominated for the entire game and the match was over inside 18 minutes as Fernando Torres bagged a hat-trick.
Speaking afterwards though, Del Bosque told the press that even though his side were good, they have to remain focused and not get too carried away.
"We must not dwell on it too much. We cannot think that we are the best team because the game was misleading," Marca quote him as saying.
"We have to look at the way we played again our opponents. In the first-half we did it well, but by the second-half it was over."
Despite not paying too much attention to the scoreline though, Del Bosque did admit that "it was important to pick up the three points".
The coach also looked ahead to the next game against Iraq, who drew with South Africa earlier today, saying that Spain have to show them "maximum respect".
"Iraq will be very difficult opponents," he finished by saying.
