Inter might have denied yesterday that there was a deal in place for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to leave the club but reports today claim they have been negotiating with Barcelona forward Samuel Eto'o.

French source L'Equipe claims that the Cameroonian international was in Milan on Monday to negotiate with the Italian club.

The report states that Eto'o was with his lawyers and that he met with Inter president Massimo Moratti and the rest of the management team.

It is thought that a deal for the forward is near, and even though it does not reveal what Barcelona will receive for him, it is reported to be a five year contract.

The great driving force behind the move is thought to be Jose Mourinho, who tried to sign Eto'o when he was Chelsea's manager.

The Portuguese coach has now shown his interest in the forward once again and it appears that, with a possible sale of Ibrahimovic, he will get finally get his man.

Should Eto'o join Inter then it is widely expected that Zlatan would leave, probably as part of the deal to Barcelona.

Even though the Italian club denied that a deal has been done yesterday, there is still time for things to change and negotiations are thought to be ongoing.
