Barcelona Youngster Bojan: I Will Learn From Lionel Messi
The young striker will look to the example set by the Argentine in order to succeed at the Camp Nou...
Barcelona protege Bojan Krkic has promised to follow in the footsteps of Lionel Messi and become a success at the club by learning from the example set by the Argentine in his short career at the Camp Nou.
The Serbian-Spaniard has been linked with a move out on loan this season to continue his development, with a number of Primera Division sides expressing an interest in taking the 18-year old for a season.
However, Bojan has often spoken of his desire to remain with the club and fight for his first team place along with Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto’o and he has stated that he hopes that Messi, in particular, can be an inspiration to him.
Goal.com Spain states that the young forward said, “[Lionel] Messi is the best player in the world and people recognise that. He generates positive energy at all times and I try to look on and learn. The way he plays is unbelievable.”
Given that the trio of Henry, Eto’o and Messi notched 100 goals between them in Barcelona’s unprecedented treble triumph, Bojan must feel a little starved of opportunity as he managed just six first team starts in La Liga.
However, he reiterated that if he can use Messi as a model for success, then he can make himself a star for the European Champions.
“I have seen him play a lot and it is impossible to highlight a weakness. He has everything.
He has a great ability to score, but above all else he is a great person.”
