Kaka waves to the Milan crowd, but he seems set to join Real Madrid according to reports
Italian World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro has reportedly stated that he believes Real Madrid transfer target Kaka would relish life in the city should he complete his mooted move to the Spanish giants.

Speculation has been ongoing this week that when the Brazilian maestro returns from international duty on Monday he will complete his £56m transfer from AC Milan to become Florentino Perez’s first capture since his return to the Bernabeu.

Former los Blancos defender Cannavaro, who has now returned to Serie A giants Juventus to see out the remainder of his career, seems certain that the deal will go through.

AS reports that the 35-year old said of the move, “He will have to work very hard next year, because there will be many comparisons with Barcelona. He will feel at home though, because Madrid is a fantastic city.”

Cannavaro returns to Italy after three successful seasons with los Merengues, winning two Primera Division titles in that time, and following speculation about transfers of Kaka and also Internazionale hitman Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Spain, he added that he believes Serie A must get back to basics if it is to prosper once more.

He concluded, “Two big stars are set to leave, we should invest in young players and improve the structure of the clubs.”
