Chelsea's young striker Ben Sahar could be on his way to Spain, with Espanyol closing in on a deal.

According to El Mundo Deportivo, Ben Sahar's agent will be in Barcelona next week to negotiate the transfer.

The twenty-year-old Israeli forward, who spent last season on loan at De Graafschap, is keen to get more playing time and sees joining a smaller Spanish club as the perfect opportunity to do this.

Los Periquitos could sign him for as little as €1million, with Chelsea happy to let the striker leave.

Ben Sahar has represented Israel's senior team on three occasions, scoring two goals.

He signed for Chelsea in 2006, but has never come close to breaking into the first team.
