As the start of the Confederations Cup draws closer, Fernando Llorente and Santi Cazorla can't wait for the tournament to begin.

Fernando Llorente has recently been making his way into Vicente Del Bosque's squads and even opened his international account against England. Speaking ahead of the tournament, Llorente said, "This tournament is very important for me, because it is my first big competition with the international team."

"I hope to contribute to the best of my ability."

Llorente then touched on the subject of Andres Iniesta, who will miss the tournament through injury, continuing, "A player of his calibre is fundamental to any team, so, of course, we will miss him.

"However, we have other good players and we know they will do the job."

While Iniesta will be absent, many are surprised at Santi Cazorla's inclusion in the squad, given that he was also expected to miss the tournament through injury. The Villarreal midfielder, however, assured everyone that he was ready.

"If I didn't believe I was a hundred percent fit, I would not have come," explained the 23-year-old.

"My recovery has gone better than expected, my ankle has responded very well. We shortened the recovery time considerably.

"I am pleased to be here, because that was my objective."

Cazorla then also spoke about Iniesta's absence, and he echoed the sentiments of Llorente.

"Of course, any team will miss such a spectacular player."

"But we have a lot of great players and we expect that his absence will not hurt us eventually."

Finally, Cazorla was asked about any possible interest from Real Madrid in him or any other members of the squad, but he admirably refused to speculate on club issues.

"We must leave that aside, we are here with the Spanish team and that is out focus."
