I Like David Villa And Diego Forlan - Real Madrid Boss Florentino Perez
Real Madrid are only just starting out on a summer of rebuilding, and a new striker is on the cards...
Florentino Perez may be making headlines for his public pursuit of Kaka, but he has admitted that he is also a fan of David Villa and Diego Forlan.
The Real Madrid president is hoping to tie up a deal to sign AC Milan's Brazilian superstar, but he also revealed that he is looking beyond that to other players as well.
Both Villa and Forlan have been linked with Los Merengues in recent days and Perez refused to state that he would not be making a move for either when asked on Spanish television.
"It is a difficult question because I like the two of them a lot. They are both great players," he told Antena 3.
"I cannot speak about signing them, but any president would like to see both of them playing in his team."
Raul and Guti were also mentioned and Perez was unable to given assurances that the pair would certainly be staying as he looks to bring in new players and reduce the squad size.
"In Spain you can only have a 25-man squad. At the moment we have 28 players and we want to bring in five or six so I think that we will have to let around nine go," he continued.
"Is Raul on this list? Raul is indisputable, a symbol. It would be difficult to see him go.
"Guti is loved by the fans and he deserves that affection and the respect of everyone."
