Samuel Eto'o must agree to a new two-year deal at Barcelona if he wants to stay, but his reluctance to talk has seen Pep Guardiola ask the club to find him a new striker.

After winning himself a place in the squad last summer after being told, along with Ronaldinho and Deco, that he could leave, Eto'o must now agree to a new deal quickly or be told that he will be sold this year, El Mundo Deportivo state.

Manchester City and Inter are reported to be interested and AS believe that Guardiola has taken the decision to cash in now on the goal scorer's talents.

Eto'o's contract at Barcelona expires next year and the club are not willing to let him stay and leave for free. The forward has reportedly not reacted well to a proposed deal that would carry him through to 2012 with the club.

David Villa is the club's main objective and the Valencia forward is more likely to join Barca than go to Real Madrid, where he is also being touted, due to los Che's unwillingness to sell to los Merengues.

Guardiola does not want complacency in his squad and feels that making the odd major change would be good for the side.

According to AS, the coach would even be prepared to start pre-season with Bojan Krkic as his only recognised central striker if one could not be found before then.
