Barcelona Starlet Bojan Krkic Disappointed Not To Have Played In Champions League Final

The Blaugrana's teenage star wasn’t too happy at being denied the chance to take to the field in Rome last week…

Young Bojan Krkic has had to process a mixed bag of emotions over the past few weeks after his Barcelona side won the Champions League to wrap up the 2008-09 season with a grand treble.

While the 18-year-old was delighted to have lifted three trophies in his first year under a professional contract with the Blaugrana, there was a tinge of disappointment when he failed to make even a cameo appearance against Manchester United in the final of Europe’s premier competition in Rome last week.

“I don’t want to ruin the feeling of winning the Champions League at 18 years of age, but I had expected to play,” he told Catalunya Radio programme ‘Els Millors’.

Despite his declarations, Sport believes that the forward is eager to remain at the Camp Nou and will not seek a transfer, even though he could see even less playing time next season should Barca bring in more attacking reinforcements.
