thumbnail Hello,

The club's president is delighted to see that Barca's youth academy is producing players capable of featuring at the very highest level.

Joan Laporta is delighted to see Barcelona in the Champions League final for the second time during his stint as president and equally pleased that so many homegrown players will represent the club.

The Camp Nou supremo took over the club in 2003 and oversaw the Blaugrana's Champions League win in Paris three years later, however, he has hinted a win in Rome this evening against Manchester United would be more special.

Over half of the team could be formed from Barca's youth system against the Red Devils, and that is something that patriotic Laporta is proud of.

"This is a very special moment for the club. With over half the team from the juniors, it is a source of pride for us," he told RAC-1.

"The players would see the season as incomplete if we do not win this.

"I believe a lot in this team and we realise that we cannot let this opportunity pass."

"We are not contemplating defeat, although we have already won a lot this season."
