We Are Not Thinking About The Real Madrid Elections - Marcelo
The Brazilian has stated that the players are not concerned with the elections and are concentrating on the last three matches of the season...
All the talk in Spain today might have been about Florentino Perez and his return to Real Madrid, but according to Marcelo, the team themselves are not thinking about it.
The former president created much ado in the Spanish capital as he spoke about his plans for for the future of the club and how he will turn things around.
Marcelo stated that "now is not the time to think about who will be president next season" though and said they are only thinking about winning.
According to the Brazilian, the team has to be "strong" and go on "to win the games that remain" this season.
When asked by Marca whether or not he was aware of what was going on with Perez, he replied, "I know him from television".
The Brazilian was speaking today at a charity golf event organised by Sergio Ramos, with many Madrid and Getafe players participating.
Marcelo paid tribute to his team-mate and said that taking part in charity events is very important to himself.
"Madrid is not only a football club. There are many things the players do, like come to the Foundation, and that is very important. What Sergio is doing is very important, for me and for everyone else who has come here," he explained.
