Sevilla forward Luis Fabiano has expressed his satisfaction at finding the net in his sides' confident 3-1 win over Real Mallorca on Saturday evening.

Fabiano's effort was sandwiched in between goals from the prolific Frederic Kanoute and Jesus Navas, after Aritz Aduriz had given the visitors a surprise early lead.

The win consolidates Sevilla's place in the top three in the Primera Division and all but confirms their spot in the Champions League for next season.

Fobazo.com reports that Fabiano is pleased to have got on the scoresheet in a vital win for his side.

"It is a very positive outcome. We had some difficulties after they scored early on, but we were confident we would come back.

"The three points brings us closer to the Champions League, and the fans encouraged us a lot. We knew we would score if we played with patience."

The win pushed the Rojiblancos onto 63 points, four clear of Valencia in fourth place, and represents a positive first season for Manolo Jiminez.

Fabiano stated that he was happy with his own personal involvement in the match, adding, "Today I felt very well, not only because of the goal I scored, but because I was involved a lot in the game."
