Valencia Defender Maduro Escapes Unhurt From Car Crash
The defender returned to training even after the crash...
Hedwiges Maduro has escaped unhurt from a car crash yesterday afternoon and has trained with his Valencia team-mates as normal this morning, despite the incident.
The Dutchman was involved in the crash with two cars on the outskirts of Valencia and even though he was not injured, the Land Rover he was driving was damaged.
Europa Press reports that the defender did not suffer any injuries from the incident and that he did not appear to be struggling at all this morning.
The news will be a blessing both for the player and for the coach, as Valencia gear up for the final stage of the season.
Currently los Che are in the final Champions League spot but they have some tough games coming up before the end of the campaign.
Unai Emery's side take on both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid before the season is finished and lead Villarreal by just one point in the table.
This weekend they face a tricky trip to Catalonia too, where they take on an in-form Espanyol side who have won their last three games.
