thumbnail Hello,

The president is not even thinking about El Clasico yet...

Joan Laporta has said he is confident in his Barcelona team ahead of their meeting with Chelsea in the Champions League this evening.

The Catalans have swept aside all those before them in the competition so far and also hold a four point lead at the top of La Primera.

With the season coming to a close, the pressure is on though and, with El Clasico coming up on Saturday, this is big week for Barcelona.

Talking to Sport, the president of the Catalan side did not sound worried though and outlined his desire for the game.

"I do not feel any pressure because I have all the confidence in this team," he explained.

"It will be a difficult encounter because we are playing great opponents. I would be satisfied with a strong win, without conceding any goals."

Certainly a win would be good for Barcelona not only in terms of the Champions League but also preparing for the game with Real Madrid at the weekend.

Laporta did not want to comment about the match with their arch-rivals though as he is focused solely on the Chelsea game.

"We are not even thinking about who we play on Saturday. We are looking forward to the game with Chelsea because we have done well to get this far," he concluded.
