Jimenez Proud Of Sevilla's Win Over Recreativo Huelva
The pride of Andalusia continued their impressive season with a win at Recre, and the gaffer could not be happier...
Manolo Jimenez could not hide his delight after Sevilla racked up yet another win at Recreativo de Huelva.
Sevilla snatched a 1-0 victory to maintain their stranglehold on third place, and Jimenez was thrilled when speaking to reporters after the game.
"We will continue like this until the end of the season, and hopefully we can finish second," he said.
"I would like to thank my team for the sacrifice and desire they showed. I think we should have won by more goals, particularly as we had a lot of chances in the first half."
Jimenez then analysed the match in further detail, stating, "They [Recreativo] showed a lot of enthusiasm and tried to equalise in the second half, but we knew how to achieve an important win."
Finally, Jimenez offered his thoughts on Recre's chances of staying up: "They are a good team, and if they continue to play like this they will have no troubles."
