Villarreal's Santi Cazorla 'Very Sad' After Horror Injury

Santi Cazorla cut a decidedly subdued figure when he spoke to the press on Saturday night after hearing the news that he will miss the rest of the season.
Cazorla fractured his ankle in the 64th minute of Villarreal's loss to Almeria, and will play no further part in this campaign.
In fact, the Spain star could be out of commission for in excess of four months, meaning he will also sit out the Confederations Cup in the summer.
Speaking after leaving the hospital, Cazorla said, "I am very sad because I will not be able to play in the most exciting part of the season.
"It is tough but I am mentally strong and I will support my colleagues from the stands.
"It was an unfortunate incident, I fell myself and immediately heard a crack that indicated that something was wrong."
Meanwhile, Villarreal director Jose Manuel Llaneza expressed the club's sadness at the news, saying, "It is a sad night. Everyone is feeling bad. Santi is calm, but it is a serious injury.
"It is a terrible injury but we are going to help him recover as soon as possible."
