Dani Guiza Urges Spain To Ignore Turkey’s Hellacious Home Support

Many believe that the Turks’ home support at the Ali Sami Yen Stadi will play a huge part in the fixture. One man who knows all about the famous crowds in Turkey is Fenerbahce's Dani Guiza, who could be in for an extra hostile reception, especially from fans of the stadium’s home club, Galatasaray.
But the striker, who is unlikely to start the game, has given his team-mates advice on how to overcome the Crescent Stars and the Turkish atmosphere.
“We must go out there and play our own game, no matter how difficult the fans will make it for us. If we focus on ourselves, it will not matter,” he was quoted as saying by Marca.
“Turkey have already shown last Saturday that they are a side that plays good football because they have great players.
“They will only be thinking about beating us because they have to win. What we have to do is to keep the ball and maintain as much possession as possible. That will help us win the game.”
The 28-year-old then spoke about coach Vicente del Bosque’s surprise decision to include him in the squad, despite his recent lack of form and his personal problems off the pitch.
“I only think about scoring goals and celebrating with the team,” he said. “I believe that throughout the [past] year, I have worked for my place and when I play, I have always done well.”
Spain are currently top of Group 5 of the UEFA World Cup qualifying zone with a maximum 15 points from five games. Turkey are sitting in third spot on eight points.
