Former Napoli boss Edy Reja has been appointed as coach of Croatian side Hajduk Split, the club have announced.
Reja, who was sacked by the Azzurri back in March following a poor run of form, is now tasked with winning the Prva HNL league, which the Split-based side finished second in last term.
The Croatian team have confirmed the move via a statement on their official website, and Reja has signed a two-year deal.
Reja has been hired to turn around the club's fortunes following a poor start to the 2009-10 campaign. Hadjuk are struggling in 13th place in the league, amassing just two points from four games.
The club have not won the title since the 2004-05 season.
