Premier League Player Ratings: Arsenal 3-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Gunners maintain their dominance in north London derby...

ARSENAL

Manuel Almunia - 6 - An easy return for the Spanish goalkeeper. A sharp save from a second-half David Bentley free kick was about all he had to do as far as shot-stopping was concerned.

Bacary Sagna - 8 - Assisted both of Robin van Persie's goals and was untroubled by Spurs' underwhelming wide-men. What more can you ask of your right-back?

William Gallas - 6 - The Frenchman looked uncomfortable when duelling Peter Crouch in the air, resorting to underhanded tactics - such as a seemingly deliberate handball and a rather crude (yet unpunished) elbow in the back. On the deck, though, he was pretty neat.

Thomas Vermaelen - 8 - Unlike his defensive partner, the Belgian won more than his fair share of headers against Tottenham's two-metre targetman. He may not be the tallest centre-half around, but at the moment he's among the most impressive.

Gael Clichy - 6 - Had little to do on the defensive end, and kept the Gunners' shape going forward without really starring. Professional performance.

Abou Diaby - 5 - The versatile midfielder's day was dogged by indifferent decision-making. Threatened the break the lines at times, but more often than not he'd try - and fail - to beat a man when a simple pass was all that was required.

Alexandre Song - 6.5 - Hit and miss from the young Cameroonian. His passing could have been much sharper, but he gave the Lilywhites' midfielders little room to move. Made one crucial last-ditch tackle on Robbie Keane in the first half.

Cesc Fabregas - 9 - A magnificent solo goal immediately after Van Persie's opener capped what was a truly dominant display from the Arsenal skipper. Pure class.

Nicklas Bendtner - 5 - Failed to make much of an impact before limping off early with a groin problem.

Andrei Arshavin - 5 - The Russian was uncharacteristically quiet, showing only flashes his usual creative brilliance. Looked a tad tired, truth be told.

Robin van Persie - 8 - The Dutchman came to life after the scoring the opener. Ubiquitous from then on and fully deserved his second goal.

Substitutes

Eduardo - 6 - Saw an excellent one-on-one chance thwarted by Gomes; otherwise lively without being dangerous.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Gomes - 5 - A typically eventful outing for the Brazilian. Made a corking one-handed save from Fabregas and did well to deny Eduardo later on, but questions will be asked of him for both of Van Persie's goals.

Vedran Corluka - 6 - Solid but unspectacular at right-back; kept his flank fairly tight, but gave little going forward.

Sebastien Bassong - 5 - The slightly more solid half of what was a woefully outplayed defensive pairing. Couldn't keep quite close enough to Van Persie & co. to exert any physical presence.

Ledley King - 3 - One to forget. Lacked the composure and precision we've come to expect from him, and was at fault for each of Arsenal's three goals.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto - 5 - A mediocre display punctuated by sloppy moments on the ball.

David Bentley - 4 - Hit a good free kick in the second half, but that was about it from the ex-Gunner. The injured Aaron Lennon should have few problems reclaiming his place, on this evidence.

Wilson Palacios - 5 - Put in some good tackles, but the Cameroonian's biggest contribution was to give away the ball straight from the kick-off and allow Fabregas to put Arsenal 2-0 up.

Tom Huddlestone - 4 - Couldn't get his passing game going and didn't put up much of a fight. Hooked early in the second half.

Jermaine Jenas - 6.5 - The sometime England midfielder should be commended for his efforts amid what was a lethargic Lilywhites display. Hard-working, lively on the ball, but completely let down by his team-mates.

Robbie Keane - 4 - Seemed to spend most of the day trotting around in circles with no apparent intent. Had one chance denied by Song, but otherwise he was as uninvolved as anyone.

Peter Crouch - 5 - You can't help but feel sorry for a guy who works so hard when offered so little support. Competed well against Vermaelen and Gallas, but the fact he was forced to pull deep and wide to get the ball at his feet says it all.

Substitutes

Gareth Bale - 4 - The Welsh wing-back looked well off the boil in an error-strewn cameo.

Roman Pavlyuchenko - N/A

Alan Hutton - N/A
