The 23-year-old is unlikely to feature in the World Cup qualifying clash against Joachim Low's side after reporting of a tight groin following the loss to Manchester City
Republic of Ireland winger James McClean is unlikely to feature for his country in their World Cup qualifying match with Germany during the international break.

The 23-year-old reported a very tight groin following his club Sunderland's match against Manchester City.

McClean will undergo a medical with the Wearside club on October 8 to determine whether he will be fit to make an appearance against Joachim Low's side on October 12.

Team-mate Sean St Ledger is also unlikely to feature after suffering from a suspected hamstring injury while playing for Leicester City in their Championship win over Bristol City.
