The Manchester United youngster is to start Tuesday's friendly after becoming the Under-21s' highest goalscorer of all time, with David Meyler also getting a first cap
Manchester United youngster Robbie Brady will make his debut for Republic of Ireland from the start of Tuesday's friendly against Oman.Sunderland midfielder David Meyler will also be making his international bow as Boys in Green boss Giovanni Trapattoni tries some new faces following Friday's 2-1 win over Kazakhstan in World Cup 2014 qualifying.
Striker Kevin Doyle, who scored a late winner in that opening fixture of the qualifying campaign but had been disappointed with the team's performance as a whole, will captain the side at Craven Cottage.
Ireland Under-21s manager Noel King praised Trapattoni's decision to call up Brady on Saturday, the Red Devils youngster having recently become the youth side's all-time top goalscorer.
Republic of Ireland starting XI: Forde; Coleman, McShane, Wilson, Kelly; Meyler, McCarthy, Brady; Doyle, Long, Keogh.
