RUMOURS: Luis Enrique turns down chance to sign Pedro on loan

The Catalan club are not interested in bringing the wide man back from Chelsea, with Luis Enrique instead focusing all his attention on signing Nolito

Luis Enrique has reportedly turned down the opportunity to bring Pedro Rodriguez back to Barcelona on loan from Chelsea

The Spain international left for the Premier League in August, but has been unable to make an impression since moving to Stamford Bridge.

Catalan newspaper Diario SPORT claim he regrets his decision and suggest a deal was on the table for him to return to Camp Nou on loan until the end of the current season.

However, Barca boss Luis Enrique has supposedly turned down the chance to bring Pedro back because he now considers him to be a part of the past.

The Blaugrana, though, are looking to sign a forward in the January transfer window to provide back up to Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

SPORT, in the same article, claim that Nolito is Luis Enrique’s top target, although he would also accept Denis Suarez, even if he is more of a midfielder than a front man.
