thumbnail Hello,

The Portugal international appeared to publicly imply that he does not agree with the European champions' decision to sell both Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria

Sergio Ramos has responded to Cristiano Ronaldo's sensational comments on Real Madrid's summer recruitment programme by arguing that it is too early to be jumping to conclusions.

The Portugal international made headlines by admitting that he had "strong opinions" on the comings and goings at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer but that he did not want to cause controversy by publicly stating what he really felt.

Ronaldo's admission has been widely interpreted as dissatisfaction with the club's decision to offload both Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria, two key players in last season's Champions League success, but Sergio Ramos was reluctant to be drawn into the furore.

"We may all have our own opinion and that's fine," the Blancos defender told reporters on Tuesday. "I'm not going to start judging Cristiano's words or any player's.

"We belong to a club and we must abide by the rules of that club. I'll keep my opinion to myself. Now is not the time to reach conclusions."

Sergio Ramos also insisted that he has no issue with Madrid and Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas, amidst reports that the pair have fallen out.

"Iker and I have been friends for many years now, speaking quite naturally between each other," the centre-half stated.
