Barcelona have announced that attacker Isaac Cuenca has been released on a free transfer, allowing the winger to join Deportivo La Coruna.
The 23-year-old had a contract with the Camp Nou side until the summer of 2015, but he was no longer part of the club's plans and his deal has consequently been terminated.
"Barcelona have communicated to Isaac Cuenca that he is no longer part of the club's plans for next season for technical reasons," the club confirmed via their official website.
"The player has accepted the club's proposal to terminate his existing contract after a few days of consideration."
Cuenca has now agreed terms on a season-long deal with newly-promoted Deportivo, with the club confirming the news via their official website later on Thursday.
Cuenca came through the ranks of the Barcelona youth academy, but never really managed to secure regular first-team action in Catalunya, partially due to a number of knee injuries.
The versatile forward made 30 appearances for the Blaugrana, all in 2011-12, scoring four goals in the process.
He also enjoyed loan spells at Sabadell in 2010-11 and at Ajax in the second half of the 2012-13 campaign.
