thumbnail Hello,

The midfielder has been ordered to train with the reserves after failing to impress in training, but Patrick De Koster insists his client will prove his worth to Jose Mourinho

Kevin De Bruyne is committed to Chelsea and will "continue fighting" for a first-team berth, according to the Belgian's agent.

After featuring in the club's opening two games of the season, the 22-year-old midfielder has now reportedly been forced to train with the reserves after a string of unsatisfactory showings in training.

Werder Bremen general manager Thomas Echin recently hinted at a January move for a player that spent last season on loan at Weserstadion, but Patrick De Koster has dismissed the possibility of his client exiting Stamford Bridge.

"This summer we decided to stay with Chelsea, and we knew the competition would be hard and that Kevin had to fight," the agent told Bild. "He will continue fighting.

"I have no contact to other clubs. Even if we were in the transfer period, I would not have any contact."

De Koster, though, did reveal concern at his client's lack of playing time, suggesting a prolonged spell out of the first team could damage his chances of holding onto his berth in the Belgium squad.

He added: "For his stand in the national team it would be better if he played frequently."
