thumbnail Hello,

The Premier League champions are weighing up a move for the Belgian if they fail to sign Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona, but the Everton boss insists no offers have been tabled

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that no offers have been made for Marouane Fellaini amid interest Manchester United.

Goal exclusively revealed last week that former Toffees boss David Moyes will look to buy the Belgian should his efforts to sign Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas fail as he continues to prioritise a central-midfield addition.

However, Martinez maintains that no club have made their interest in Fellaini concrete and he is not thinking about the transfer speculation surrounding his top players at Goodison Park.

"There are no bids," he is quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo. "When you read that someone is interested in someone, it doesn't mean there is a bid on the table.

"Marouane has been working really hard. Leighton Baines has been working really hard for the team and that's all that matters.

"Headlines in the media happen at this time of the season unfortunately but it won't distract me from the work we have to do. I'm not bothered at all.

"It is speculation in the media and you'll never stop that. I've said from day one as a manager you only concentrate on working hard. I don't mind having my players grabbing headlines. That's a good story because it means they've been doing well and performing well.

"I'm only concentrating on having as strong a squad as possible for the start of the season. That's all my concern is."

Moyes, who brought the former Standard Liege star to the Premier League in 2008, was coy when asked for an update on the club's transfer dealings, but revealed he expects more signings to be made this summer.

"I can't say anything [about Fabregas]," Moyes said. "But there will [be signings] and they will come."
