The promising youngster has defended his fellow Germany international's move to FCB as he feels the Bavarians are Europe's finest at the moment
Gotze opted to join Bayern after the Champions League winners proved willing to trigger his €37 million exit clause, a decision that caused uproar among BVB supporters.
However, Draxler says his fellow Germany international's decision was rather logical because of Bayern's status as one of the best in the world.
"I can fully understand Mario's decision from a sporting point of view. Bayern are the ultimate team in Europe at the moment," Draxler told Welt.
"So in my opinion it makes sense that he wants to play there and jumped at the chance to work with Pep Guardiola."
Meanwhile, Draxler himself signed a new contract with Schalke until June 2018 earlier this summer and snubbed interest from Chelsea.
The Premier League giants see Draxler as a potential replacement for Juan Mata, but the 19-year-old has no intention of leaving Schalke.
