Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has rubbished reports claiming Stevan Jovetic could join AC Milan in a swap for Stephan El Shaarawy.
Jovetic is widely expected to leave the Stadio Artemio Franchi this summer, with Juventus leading a queue of clubs for his signature, but Prade insists there is no truth to suggestions he met with Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani to negotiate any deal.
“I met Galliani casually in a restaurant, but we have absolutely no spoken exchanges between players,” he told reporters.
“When you talk about a possible exchange between El Shaarawy and Jovetic, it comes to pure fantasy.”
Earlier this month, Galliani had refused to rule out the possibility of selling the young forward, leading to speculation surrounding his future at the club off the back of a run of poor form in 2013 following Mario Balotelli's arrival at the club.
