thumbnail Hello,

The Argentina international has consistently been linked with a move and could be set to follow boss Roberto Mancini away from the Etihad Stadium

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has admitted he would be interested in a move to either Paris Saint-Germain or Monaco this summer.

The Argentine has enjoyed a turbulent relationship with the Citizens ever since his controversial switch from city rivals Manchester United in the summer of 2009.

Matters appeared to come to a head in the summer of 2011, where Tevez was only denied a transfer back to South America and former clubs Corinthians and Boca Juniors due to the failure of both clubs to provide sufficient funding.

A few months later, Tevez's career at Man City looked to be over when he allegedly refused to enter into the field of play as a substitute during a Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, an action that saw him outcasted from the City squad for six months.

The 29-year-old eventually returned to play a crucial role in City's title triumph and has this season established himself as a regular once again, scoring 17 goals in all competitions, level with Sergio Aguero as the club's top goalscorer.

However, following Roberto Mancini's sacking as manager, there looks set to be big changes at the Etihad in the coming transfer window and Tevez has admitted that he could be tempted to leave for either PSG or Monaco, two French clubs banked by ambitious, billionaire owners who will certainly have the wealth to compete for his signature.

"I think there was an interest from PSG for me last year," Tevez told Telefoot.

"We talked with Leonardo, but we have not reached an agreement. But it remains an interesting option. In addition, I think the championship of France is changing very fast.

"If Leonardo calls me, it wouldn’t be a problem. If we talk and find an agreement then why not? Playing in Paris or France, not a problem for me.

"Monaco is one of the leading French clubs. Everyone would be happy to go. I like the project and I know Ranieri well. It is impressive to have managed to get the club in Top flight again. But I'm also happy at City and I have one year contract."

Paris Saint-Germain, backed by the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva and David Beckham, have been crowned Ligue 1 champions for this season while Monaco, who have been linked with a swoop for superstar forward Radamel Falcao, will join them in the French top flight next year after their promotion from Ligue 2.
