Alejandro Gomez has admitted that, while he is happy at Catania, he is flattered by reports linking him with Inter.
The Argentine winger, who arrived in Sicily in 2010, is enjoying his best season in Serie A to date, having netted seven times in 31 outings thus far.
His sensational form has reportedly piqued the interest of the Nerazzurri but Gomez says that there has been no official approach as of yet.
"The only things that I know are what I'm reading in the papers," he insisted to Italsportspress. "But the interest of Inter is a source of pride for me.
"But, for me, Catania is my second home. The city, the team - they embraced me when I came here."
Gomez also admitted that if he were to leave the Angelo Massimino, he would prefer to remain in Italy, rather than move to another country, like Spain.
"The players that play in Italy can play anywhere, because Serie A is the most difficult in the world," he argued.
The 25-year-old Gomez joined Catania from San Lorenzo in the summer of 2010.
