The constant speculation over the Italian's future appears to be over, with the A-League club calling a press conference on Thursday

Sydney FC fans can breathe easy, with Alessandro Del Piero set to re-sign for the A-League club for at least the next 12 months.
The Italian superstar will announce on Thursday that he will activate the second year of his AU$2m two-year deal to remain in sky blue.
Overseas clubs were lining up with bids to tempt Del Piero away from the Harbour City, but the 38-year-old and his family are said to be very happy in Sydney and wanted to extend their stay.
Things are also falling into place on the field, where the Juventus legend has fired a club record 11 goals to revive Sydney FC's finals hopes.
Club officials have worked overtime to seal the contract extension, acknowledging Del Piero's importance to the club's growth on and off the field.| Sign up with William Hill for a free bet up to £25 |
