Juan Pablo Angel to sign for Atletico Nacional
The Colombia striker will join the club for a second stint and expressed his happiness at returning to the team where he first felt "most important” as a player
Juan Pablo Angel has left Chivas USA to join Atletico Nacional.
The Colombia striker will join the club for a second time later this week and stated his pleasure at re-signing for the team where he made his debut in 1993.
“I want to return to that place where I first felt important,” said Angel.
“At Nacional I have that feeling again and [they] have the support of the best fans of the country. There is always a place in my memory no matter the years that have passed.
“I'll be back with the responsibility to give back what I have learned, to give myself to this team already swollen with heart and soul as it always did, now [it is time for the] homecoming.”
The former Aston Villa forward is expected to complete a medical on Thursday and will be unveiled by the club on Sunday.
