Inter are searching for a Sneijder replacement, says Stramaccioni
The Giuseppe Meazza side are looking at alternatives for the Dutchman as a transfer seems inevitable following his ongoing contract dispute
Andrea Stramaccioni has revealed that Inter are preparing for life after Wesley Sneijder, who is on his way out of San Siro.Club president Massimo Moratti confirmed earlier this week that they have accepted an offer from Galatasaray for the creative Dutchman, and the Nerazzurri are already looking at alternatives to the 28-year-old.
"I've never made a secret of how much I rate Wes, he always played until he got injured. Then things changed, and so did Inter. It's not that our project changed but rather the way we play," he said at a press conference.
"We're working on a replacement for Wes. It's not easy to find someone as good as him. Teams that do have someone like that, tend to keep hold of them.
"We'll give it everything between now and the end of the month. You can make signings which complete your squad and you need to do this intelligently."
Sneijder's agent Soren Lerby stressed on Friday that a move to Galatasaray is still far away as they are yet to open contract talks with the Istanbul giants.
