Sneijder agent rubbishes Galatasaray claims
The representative insists talk that his client has agreed to join the Turkish champions is wide off the mark, instead preferring to wait until other clubs have made their move
Soren Lerby, the agent of Wesley Sneijder, has refuted suggestions that the Inter midfielder is on the verge of completing a transfer to Galatasaray. The Super Lig leaders were given permission to speak with the Netherlands international after they negotiated a fee with the Nerazzurri, and it was reported on Friday that the 28-year-old would "most likely" arrive at the Turk Telecom Arena within the next few days.
However, in quick response to the remarks made by the Turks' sporting director Abdurrahim Albayrak, Sneijder's representative insists he is unaware of an agreement between the two sides and is waiting on other teams to put their cards on the table.
"That's impossible," Lerby told Voetbal International. "We didn't even talk with Gala, so there couldn't be an agreement.
"I have no idea [about an agreement between the two sides]. Inter haven't told me about it. I don't expect Sneijder to sign a contract just yet.
"Anything is possible. Over the next few weeks we will consider every offer that comes our way. It's the choice of Wesley and his wife Yolanthe. Until then, Wesley needs to rest so he can make the right decision."
