Genoa chief downplays Perin-Milan rumours
The young goalkeeper has been linked with a move to San Siro in recent weeks, but Enrico Preziosi has insisted that his meeting with Adriano Galliani was not to discuss a transfer
Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has rubbished talk that goalkeeper Mattia Perin is on his way to AC Milan, despite having dinner with Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani.
The 20-year-old has been in impressive form while in loan at Pescara this season, and has been linked with a move away from the Luigi Ferraris.
"We didn’t talk about transfers. It was just a meal between friends," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"Perin to Milan? The boy now needs to be left in peace so that he can show people what he can do. We’ll see what happens in the future."
Another player linked with a Genoa exit is Juraj Kucka, but Preziosi is adamant that nobody will be on the way out as the Rossoblu look to stave off relegation.
"We cannot possibly sell anyone this month because we need to stay up and we cannot weaken the squad."
