Lampard would fit in well at Fiorentina, says Borja Valero
The Spanish midfielder has identified the Chelsea and England icon as a potential target for the Viola amidst continuing speculation over his future in the summer
Borja Valero has claimed that Chelsea veteran Frank Lampard would fit well into Fiorentina's style of play after being told he is no longer in his current club's plans. The 34-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is very likely to leave the London club according to his agent, with no contract offer forthcoming.
"Lampard would be perfect for the type of game we want to play," he stated at a press conference.
"But the players are only thinking of playing, we leave what happens in the transfer market to the club."
Fiorentina have enjoyed a stunning season so far, and currently sit in fourth place, in with a shout of Champions League qualification.
“We have to continue the way we have been so far. The club must remain near the top of the table," he added.
“We will try until the very last game to get into the Champions League, but there are many team in this League that can do the same."
